Weekly updates
Regular updates, eh? Inspired by the post Staying Motivated by Sending Status Updates to Nobody and by Eevee's dev log, I've decided to try to write regular weekly updates, where I'll put together what I've done, experienced and generally survived through.
I am not sure how much this will be interesting to other people, as this should be a tool for myself, to remember what I've done.
Friends also inspired by this idea:
PS: I live in the country where week starts with Monday.
📄 Newsletter 2021-01-08; Defragmentation in progress
Opensource contributions, book report, improvements, published blogposts and generally progress in my life and work.
📄 Newsletter 2020-09-12; Waves of productivity
Some of the stuff I did in last month and a half.
📄 Newsletter 2020-07-28; Whee, I can make 3D lowpoly models
Opensource contributions, book report, improvements, published blogposts and generally progress in my life and work.
📄 Lifelog 2020-06-15; Todo in motion
Opensource contributions, book report, improvements, stuff that I wrote and generally progress in my life.
📄 Lifelog 2020-05-25; Work in progress everywhere
I think it is time to stop calling this stuff "biweekly update", as I seem to be unable to publish every two weeks.
📄 Biweekly update 2020-04-22; A lot of programming
I've spent too much time thinking about object serialization protocols, their advantages and disadvantages.
📄 Biweekly update 2020-04-06; Finally not sick and productive
Finally, I am not sick with cold and I feel generally good. As I am staying home and I wear FFP3 mask every time I go outside, I expect to stay this way for some time.
📄 Biweekly update 2020-03-23; Sick again..
Later than usually. Sorry. I just didn't felt like writing an update last Sunday, and there wasn't that much interesting going on, except the crazy global pandemic everyone already knows about.
📄 Biweekly update 2020-03-01; Publishing success
This was so far the most successful week for this blog, with tens of thousands of views, several new patrons and twitter followers.
📄 Biweekly update 2020-02-16; I am fragmented
I feel kinda fragmented. I failed my todo pushing. I failed to write what I wanted and instead wrote a bunch of other stuff and I've begun to read three different books at once and didn't finish any of them.
📄 Biweekly update 2020-02-02; Boring two weeks
This two weeks were boring. I've been tired or unable to focus, so I didn't manage to do much. I hope that next weeks will be better.
📄 Biweekly update 2020-01-19; Productive, but unsatisfactory two weeks
I've done a lot of stuff, but although it wasn't procrastination, I have somehow bitter feeling about it. I didn't get much sleep, so I felt tired all the time. This led me to using caffeine more than usual, so I had explosions of productivity alternated with moments of total tiredness.
📄 Biweekly update 2020-01-05; objWiki is coming nicely
2020, eh? I really hope that this year will be better than the last one, which was in many ways too close to my personal low of all times.
📄 Biweekly update 2019-12-24; Christmas, *sighs*
Too late, I know. I just didn't have any time for writing the update, so it will be a bit shorter than usually.
📄 Biweekly update 2019-12-08; Projects and work organization
Overall quite productive two weeks, but I didn't do much programming on my own personal projects.
📄 Biweekly update 2019-11-24; Mental refactorings and wiki gardening
I think I can say that last two weeks were motivated by attempts to organize myself better. I've done a lot of wiki gardening, created new kanban boards and groomed old ones.
📄 Biweekly update 2019-11-10; Quiet and slow progress
I've dealt with a lot of personal business this two weeks, so I didn't do much work in terms of programming.
📄 Biweekly update 2019-10-27; Slacking hard
In the productivity area, this was really, really bad week. I felt kinda overwhelmed, so I decided to relax. All my free time was consumed by anime, movies, and even some games (Minecraft / 7 days to die). Now I feel more relaxed, but at the same time, I feel like I wasted my life.
📄 Weekly update 2019-10-13; I was really busy
I've been thinking that I'll probably try to slow down and publish bi-weekly updates, as I feel like I am generating too much noise. I'll try to slow down and see what effect it had, as noise is not what I want to put out into the world.
📄 Weekly update 2019/10/06; Slowly ramping up to where I was
I would rate this week 3.6/15k - not great, not terrible. I've done some work, both on tinySelf and in my actual everyday work, but I am nowhere as productive as I was before I got sick. I guess I am taking my time to get back on my standard levels of productivity.
📄 Weekly update 2019/09/29; I feel tired all the time
I am still recovering from the cold I've caught last week. Most of the nasty side effects are gone, but I still feel incredibly tired.
📄 Weekly update 2019/09/22; The bug was finally fixed
I've been sick whole week, so I didn't do much. I've spent Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday in bed on home office and I still feel tired and weak even after a week.
📄 Weekly update 2019/09/15; Finally the bug was found
Wow, I've got two patrons now. Thanks guys!
📂 Weekly update 2019/09/08; Bugs and a lot of stress
I've published my first update post last week and immediately thought how much should I propagate this. I mean .. this should be mostly for me, but the first post was longer, with a lot of information and screenshots, so should I post it to the lobste.rs or reddit? Or should I limit this just to a twitter / RSS?
📄 Weekly update 2019/09/01; What I am working on
This is my first attempt to write regular weekly blogs about all kinds of stuff I am working on, so it will be a lot longer than the rest of them. I've thought about what should I write about and decided to begin with all kind of (software) pains I have.
